We are currently recruiting for a Director, Marketing & Enrolment Management to work with the School of Continuing Studies for this exciting opportunity.

Founded in 1959, York is Canada’s third largest university and is shaping the global thinkers who will define tomorrow. Launched in early 2015, and already one of the largest Schools in Canada, the new School of Continuing Studies has fast become a leader in innovation and design in higher education.

The launch of the School represents the largest investment made in continuing professional education at any post-secondary institution in over two decades. With pioneering modern program designs, engagement of industry thought-leaders, and cutting-edge programs that meet our economy’s largest skill gaps, the School has stepped up to meet the needs of international and adult students as well as employers. Exponential growth in the last four years, and the development of a strong brand (recognized in the local, national and international markets), provides a solid base upon which to build.

The University is seeking a dynamic individual to provide leadership for the marketing and enrolment management funnel. Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, the Director, Marketing & Enrolment Management leads a team of marketing, customer service, and sales staff. Working with the leaders of both Continuing Professional Education and the English Language Institute, the Director grows enrolment and revenue through marketing, communications, public relations, support for international recruitment, and customer relationship management.

As Director, you will lead the development, management, implementation, evaluation, financial planning, and monitoring of the marketing and promotional strategy of public and corporate training programs of the School.  You oversee both B2C (business to consumer) and B2B (business to business) strategy and execution.

As the ideal candidate, you bring a minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field such as business, marketing, or communications, or undergraduate degree plus professional certificate or diploma in a related field.  With a passion for sales and service, you bring three to five years of experience managing staff (ideally in a unionized environment) and vendors to achieve significant growth targets.

Your experience planning complex marketing campaigns, overseeing digital marketing strategy, and managing communications and public relations allows you to mentor your staff to a high level of accomplishment. You are a data driven leader, who always has eyes on your analytics, and can identify when you need to adjust course to meet your targets. Your flexibility and adaptability allows you to excel in a fast-paced and agile environment.

You excel at clear communication and negotiation, have superior planning and time management skills, and pride yourself in excellent analytical abilities and decision-making. You bring a great sense of humour to all relationships.
