Coordinator, Marketing

The Coordinator, Marketing will provide the highest level
of administrative and project management support to the
Strategic Projects Marketing team, supporting the Events
portfolio, within the Brand Strategy and Communications
Division. The Coordinator will be an active participant in a
fast-paced, full-service marketing and communications
team that supports signature and partnership fundraising
events for The Hospital for Sick Children. 

 

YOU WILL:
• Work closely with the Managers within the Event Marketing team to ensure that fundraising
team needs are met
• Support the development of marketing strategies, media plans, creative production of
advertising (traditional, digital & social) and promotional/collateral materials that drive
awareness and participation in a variety of events year-round
• Support the events peer-to-peer fundraising group with development of communication
strategies, tools and tactics to drive fundraising growth in the portfolio
• Provide day-to-day service and support to ensure the effective execution and delivery of
marketing and communications initiatives
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external
stakeholders
• Manage various internal projects end to end (from writing and presenting creative briefs,
through to final execution with oversight from Marketing managers and/ or Associate
Director 
• Manage and organize files associated with the fundraising team’s marketing and
communications initiatives
• Creates the calendar for the project to ensure deliverables and timelines are met
• Assist in the internal trafficking of projects through the Content and Creative Services teams
• Point of contact for providing requested information, marketing material, securing quotes
from outside vendors and suppliers
• Issue and circulate contact reports from meetings
• Remain current on all aspects of marketing trends, and other areas affecting the fundraising
team’s business
• Be an effective team player and adhere to the Foundation values and policies

YOU HAVE:

• Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
• 2 years’ experience in a marketing support role, agency experience is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Exceptional organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects within tightly
prescribed timelines
• Detail oriented and proactive in anticipating and responding to team's needs and manage
multiple and changing priorities
• High energy and level of enthusiasm, ability to work independently
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook and a willingness to learn new computer
software programs as required
• Superior customer service skills
• Must possess a client service orientation and problem-solving mindset
• Relationship builder who is able to communication with both internal and external
stakeholders to maintain a positive, professional relationship
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to work in a changing fast paced environment
