The Marketing Manager’s role is integral in the start-up marketing and communications of new destinations and projects.  This position is responsible for driving and managing project positioning and developing and delivering key marketing and sales assets in collaboration with the resort development team.  Key assets may include print materials, website, digital, social, and physical sales office and signage.


In this project marketing role, your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Start-up, transition, monitor, quality control, and support the project marketing for real estate projects
  • Collaborate with the team and write/package the marketing and public relations strategy and budget
  • Develop, manage, and track all marketing budgets including monthly supplier invoice coding and processing
  • Hire and train new project marketing team members
  • Develop lead generation programs for all on-site marketing teams
  • Transition marketing programs to project team, continue to monitor and redirect as required
  • Proactively manage creative agencies and other consultants in meeting all marketing milestone dates


Skill Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of both real estate, particularly resort-based, and destination marketing
  • Relevant appreciation for the relationship between marketing and sales, and specifically how marketing drives real estate sales
  • Creative and strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Proven excellence in creative design judgement, particularly as it relates to brand development and brand integrity
  • Ability to, and experience with, managing creative consultants, and agency relationships
  • Exceptional ability to create and track budgets
  • Exceptional communication skills including written, both creative and business oriented, as well as editing
  • Exceptional oral communication and presentation abilities
  • Expertise across all aspects of digital marketing, including social
  • Ability and capacity to be both a hands-on doer/contributor and a manager/leader when required
  • Ability to work successfully in a collaborative and multi-tasking environment
  • Proven and adept team player
  • Solid work ethic with a proven ability to produce quality materials while meeting deadlines
  • Unquestionable integrity
  • Good sense of humour
  • Ability to travel
  • Role is based in Vancouver

Experience Requirements

  • Degree in marketing, real estate, or business
  • Minimum three years experience in real estate marketing
  • Strong understanding of traditional marketing approaches from strategy development through to execution and measurement
  • Real-time and relevant knowledge and experience with all aspects of digital marketing
  • Project marketing experience with a proven record of success
  • Experience in developing and articulating strategies that lead to executable plans
  • Experience establishing, managing, reporting, and forecasting budgets
  • Experience directing and managing creative consultants
  • Experience leading and training people
