Associate Channel Manager, FS Channel & E-Commerce

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position will be responsible for developing, implementing and supporting our marketing activities to expand our profitable sales within the Canadian Foodservice Distribution Channel.  As a “Channel Expert”, the position requires an individual who has the ability to be responsible for channel, customer, competitive knowledge, stakeholder communications and sales team training.  

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a Canadian Foodservice marketing plan that contributes to Darts Paramount Goal to maximize profits for the long term.
  2. Be the Canadian resource when there is a need for management and other stakeholders to better understand current Foodservice and e-commerce market trends, industry activities and our competitor’s actions.
  3. Inform management on potential competitive threats and propose corrective actions.
  4. Lead responsibility for Canada in the development and execution of our digital marketing strategy, including e-commerce, through thoughtful actions that consider customer needs and industry trends/research.
  5. Proactively develop and execute category and customer promotional activity as required to create Channel demand.
  6. Channel P&L management focused on methods to deliver long-term desired results.
  7. Liaison with the other stakeholders in sales and marketing to provide direction on channel and customer pricing based on competitive and market price benchmarks.
  8. Manage all aspects of Dart Canada’s online content and Food Services (FS) channel marketing with key stakeholders, for a variety of FS product lines, through the entire product marketing lifecycle.
  9. Develop, manage and maintain website content, features, and customer experience that help differentiate our product’s positioning from competitors.
  10. Create, maintain, and communicate positioning strategies on website as part of e-commerce strategy, while working with IT, management, operations, engineering, sales and customers.
  11. Liaise with U.S. e-commerce colleagues on joint product and/or promotional initiatives.
  12. Ability to execute digital marketing activities including SEO, SEM.
  13. Interact with internal and external customers and communicate feedback regarding future content and feature enhancements to the Dart Canada website to the development team.
  14. Aid in creation of online merchandising materials in support of product lines including online banner ads, sample requests, sales collateral, etc.
  15. Attend key tradeshows and conferences to understand the needs of customers and market trends.
  16. Will perform other marketing project related duties as assigned.

               

Job Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Certifications, Skills):

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years related B2B digital marketing experience (foodservice channel preferred)
  • Completion of College diploma or University degree in marketing/business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint, SEO, SEM, Google Analytics
  • Be an entrepreneur, set standards, orchestrate methods, understand people, results oriented and measure results.
  • Solid relationship building skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple project priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Bi-lingual in French & English (Preferred)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed
  • Valid Passport and ability to travel in North America
