Osgoode Professional Development is a revenue-generating professional education business designed to serve working legal professionals and others who have a need for current legal information in Canada and internationally. OPD offers both degree and non-degree programs. We are currently recruiting for a Director, Marketing & Enrolment Management to work with Osgoode Professional Development for this exciting opportunity.  

Are you a professional in the field of Marketing or Communications with experience managing staff and vendors? Do you have experience developing marketing and communications strategies and plans with performance metrics?  Do you have experience in producing a variety of communication vehicles aimed at various internal and external audiences? Do you possess knowledge of marketing, market research, branding, visual design, production and advertising agencies If so, keep reading!

In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies to increase revenue year over year through marketing, communications, sales and customer service management in order to drive new enrolment and repeat sales. Additional responsibilities include: Development, management, implementation, and evaluation and financial planning and monitoring of the marketing and promotional strategy of public programs and corporate training programs of the department; Oversight of both B2C (business to consumer) and B2B (business to business) strategy and execution; Planning and execution of communication and public relations activities on behalf of OPD to internal university and external audiences; Oversight of all touch points that a prospective student, student or corporate client may have with OPD; Supervision of marketing staff and vendors, as well as Information Specialists and other customer-service or sales staff who work with prospects, existing students and corporate clients; Direction to technical/IT staff and vendors who manage the technical aspects of marketing and customer relationship management systems.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

An undergraduate degree in a related field such as business, marketing or communications. Certification in one or more of the following considered an asset: marketing, digital marketing or analytics. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess 5 years’ experience managing staff and vendors. Preference is given to management experience in a unionized public sector environment. Marketing – experience planning complex marketing campaigns (including overall brand and product campaigns), consulting with internal “clients,” creating print and electronic collateral, copywriting for different media, managing events or in the legal services industry and evaluating ROI of marketing initiatives. Experience with professional education marketing is desirable. Digital Marketing – experience with the hardware and software required to create and manage a complex database-driven website, experience doing search engine optimization, managing paid online advertising campaigns, creating and managing micro-sites and landing pages, and a thorough understanding of web analytics. Communications and Public Relations – experience designing and implementing internal and external communication and PR strategies. Enrolment management – experience with strategies, standards and evaluation of strategies at each stage of the enrolment funnel. Customer Relationship Management – experience creating and implementing customer service standards and processes and CRM software. Technology – a demonstrated understanding or and/or experience implementing complex marketing and student service systems such as a CRM, CMS or SRS and integrations between systems. Metrics – demonstrated experience with measurement, benchmarking, and ROI analysis.
