Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Marketing Specialist provides a comprehensive range of marketing support and services for internal clients across the college including faculties, student recruitment, and corporate service areas. The scope of practice for the role is wide, and the work has direct and significant impact on the college’s brand and reputation.
The Marketing Specialist operates within marketing budgets, plans, and projects to align with business strategies and objectives. Significant internal cross-college and cross-divisional collaboration with all levels of the organization is critical in this role to understand objectives, consult with clients, develop programs and solutions to meet objectives, manage projects, develop materials, manage relationships with vendors, and execute multiple competing priorities. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing project and relationships with internal clients, providing communication, oversight, and collaboration in executing marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with the college’s branding, marketing, student recruitment and retention, and business goals, objectives and priorities, and visual identity guidelines.
This role also has significant external relationships and works with vendors to maximize the use of available budgets for all media, collateral, and digital marketing solutions, including the college’s viewbook and other key marketing projects. In addition, the Marketing Specialist monitors and reports on campaign performance and achievement of KPIs and works closely with other specialists to strategize ongoing improvement to content, tactics, and overall campaign performance.
The role is primarily responsible for projects related to brand awareness and positioning, student recruitment, student retention, and other college services like the Office of the Registrar, Advancement, and Business Development. The Marketing Specialist participates in cross-functional, cross-college project teams to support these strategies, and has the primary responsibility for the execution of strategic marketing plans and ensuring the tactical plans achieve the campaign goals and objectives.
