PROFILE  

We are currently looking for a CRM & Marketing Technology Specialist to join our National Marketing Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of business development and marketing automation strategies through various marketing technologies. 

This position can be based out of Gowling WLG’s Montreal, Waterloo or Hamilton office.    

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Work with third party suppliers and the firm Information Technology (IT) teams, oversee the development, integration, enhancements and upgrades to marketing technologies.  
  • With support from the trainers, develop and maintain end-user reference materials, reporting templates, documentation, guides, polices and procedures pertaining to marketing technologies. Provide initial and ongoing CRM and marketing technologies training to members of the firm. 
  • Responsible for conducting the system administration tasks related to marketing technologies. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third party marketing technology vendors and service providers.  
  • Assist with the ongoing assessment and evolution of the firm’s CRM system.  
  • Oversee the CRM Data Quality program including the collection and maintenance of complete, consistent and compliant data. Provide guidance and direction to the CRM Coordinator and third party data providers as part of this program. 
  • Lead projects related to the firm-wide use of the CRM system and supporting marketing technologies. 
  • Serve as escalation point for IT Service Desk and marketing team on non-technical end user issues pertaining to marketing technologies. 
  • Research and compile recommendations and best practices pertaining to CRM data privacy and compliance. 
  • Measure, analyze and report on marketing technologies.  
  • Responsible for ensuring analytics and optimization tools are appropriately integrated with marketing technologies (including Siteimprove, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Google Optimize where applicable). 
  • Design and develop marketing technology protocols, procedures, training and user guidelines.  

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Post-secondary education in a related technology / marketing technology field. 
  • A minimum of 5 years experience within a digital marketing environment.  
  • Strong technical understanding of marketing technologies and marketing automation principles.  
  • Must have experience with Google Analytics and Tag Manager.  
  • Knowledge of analytical tools (Siteimprove, Google Optimize, Google Data Studio, SEMrush) 
  • Ability to analyse data and create reports with findings. 
  • Produce a high quality and quantity of work product, occasionally under tight timelines. 
  • Able to prioritize and to redefine priorities when necessary. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Bilingualism (French/English) may be required in some offices.
