Under the general direction of the Director, Talent Management, the Account Manager is responsible for the business development of the University’s short term staffing unit, UTemp. The incumbent has a particular focus on procurement of new business contracts through prospecting, networking and referrals, as well as maintaining and further developing accounts with existing clients. The position is the key player in defining, developing and implementing business development strategies for UTemp in line with the institutional vision of the talent management unit at the University of Toronto.

The incumbent is charged with building UTEMP brand awareness in the community, regularly visiting current client locations to check in, and working with team members to ensure smooth workflow for our office and our client locations. The incumbent also ensures that UTemp markets itself effectively within the University community and actively promotes the services to the individuals at the University responsible for the hiring for temporary staff.
 

Qualifications:  

(MINIMUM)

Education:
Post-secondary degree in relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Experience:
Minimum 5 years related experience. Experience in a temporary staffing industry preferably in a management role. Experience in new client development and services sales and marketing. Demonstrated experience with database management (e.g. CRM). Proven track record in client acquisition and business relationship cultivation. Experience in full-cycle recruitment and placement.


Skills:
Proficiency in use of standard office computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database management, e-mail, etc.).


Other:
This position requires drive, creativity and flexibility, as well as comfort working in a multi-faceted fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Must have exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to professionally handle stressful situations.
