Digital Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a digital marketing pro who is adept in delivering the most compelling content through an online channel to inspire your target market to action! You are ready to conceptualize and implement the optimal digital journey, from first point of contact to conversion (making a donation or registering for an event) based on your knowledge of industry best-practice. In this role, you will join a lean, high-output marketing and communications team at the BC Cancer Foundation where our sights are always set on the brand promise of Changing the Outcome. You will report to the Associate Director, Marketing & Communications and your responsibilities will include:

  • Master of the Foundation website:
    • user experience; strategize, create, optimize, evaluate
    •  content; review, strategize, schedule, create, optimize
    • future-proofing, streamlining, and SEO management
    • monitor, record, and report out on website analytics
    • support UX and content strategy for event websites (Lose the Booze, Cypress Challenge, Workout to Conquer Cancer)
  • Collaborate with digital fundraising team to support SEM, optimizing organic and paid search results
  • Oversee annual digital marketing strategy, including concept development, data analysis, testing, and implementation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop compelling digital campaigns in support of mass fundraising objectives and events
  • Support organizational objectives to reach new markets and expand our donor base via digital strategy  
  • Develop, analyze and report out on paid social media strategies and campaigns  
  • Curate content for digital application
  • Work closely with internal graphic designers to conceptualize creative content for digital marketing application    
  • Analyze and evaluate KPI data for all digital marketing channels to optimize performance and improve results
  • Map and optimize the donor journey to support market growth and lead generation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to innovate the conversion process

Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or comparable
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field as a digital marketing professional
  • Experienced in conceptualizing and managing digital campaigns and content creation
  • A superb communicator in expressing concepts and ideas
  • Master of CMS, Google Analytics, SEO, and SEM
  • Email marketing pro from personalization and content strategy, visual and UX, through to conversion and execution
  • Expert in social media marketing
  • Comfortable copywriting and briefing writers on digital content needs
  • A team player who thrives in cross-functional work environments

Plus:

  • Managing video projects with suppliers from concept through production
  • Adobe Creative Suite basics or keen to learn
  • Comfortable with basic HTML or keen to learn
  • Comfortable with web tools such as Moz
  •  Comfortable with or keen to use a project management platform
