Vice President, Marketing & Development

For more than a century, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (BGCC) in communities across Canada have been helping young people to discover, develop, and achieve their best potential as they grow to become future adults, citizens, and leaders. As the largest agency in our country serving children and youth exclusively, Boys and Girls Clubs provide quality after school and out-of-school programs to children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational, and social development of more than 200,000 young people and their families in Canada each year. The mission of the organization is to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life.

It is within this context that the BGCC is seeking an exceptional marketing and fundraising professional to join their executive team in the role of Vice President, Marketing & Development. The incumbent will lead all national marketing, communications and fundraising, including annual corporate, individual and foundation campaigns, major gift campaigns, and special events in conjunction with corporate partners to meet annual operational and endowment targets. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President, Marketing & Development will be responsible for building and implementing an integrated and sustainable national marketing and development strategy. You will lead a marketing and communications team headed by the Director, Marketing & Communications and a revenue development team jointly led by the Director, Corporate Engagement, and the Executive Director, Foundation and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to further BGCC’s mission.

You combine the ability to tell inspiring stories with a deep understanding of donor needs.  Your efforts help to spark partnerships and philanthropic giving to achieve revenue goals. You are passionate, energetic, and committed to leading others through change and building programs that have a direct and immediate impact on children and families in communities across the country.  You have an array of relationship and business development abilities that will make you a highly effective marketer and fundraiser.  Evidence-based, you use evaluation and assessment techniques, and bring insights into market trends, to support fundraising and marketing programs.  Your ability to communicate in both official languages is a desired asset.
