Associate Manager, Direct Response

As Canada's largest homeless youth agency, Covenant House Toronto is a national leader. We deliver services and support and advocate for change to help at-risk, homeless and trafficked youth. Covenant House Toronto raises more than 80% of its annual operating budget of $30.6 million from donations making it unique within the social services sector. The Direct Response program
represents 70% of the total revenue it raises, with a strong focus on online and monthly giving.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an energetic individual who is well versed in direct marketing with a strong emphasis in direct mail communications and the development and implementation of monthly donor conversion and upgrade programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of three large acquisition programs, multi-channel monthly giving and mid-level programs and the management of the donor communications. Candidates must have experience directing and editing direct marketing communications pieces and implementing strategies that elevate response and gift levels. Supplier coordination, campaign monitoring and evaluation are also a requirement for this position.

Qualifications:

The individual must have worked on large direct marketing campaigns. Extensive experience with mail and telephone channels is a must; working knowledge of integrated online channels is an asset. French is an asset. This individual must have superlative attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent verbal and written communication. A minimum of a college diploma and 3 years direct marketing experience is required. Experience with MS office at an intermediate level is required, specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel. Proficiency with the Raiser’s Edge is an asset.
