Marketing Coordinator

We are currently accepting resumes for a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Coordinator as part of the Communications Team.  This is a temporary, full-time position (12-month contract) located in our Cambridge, Ontario Member Centre.

 

Job Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working with and guiding CLAC’s Communications Team in developing, planning, and executing strategic marketing plans. This includes anything from coordinating and purchasing advertising to doing market research and analysis to writing effective copy for marketing campaigns.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Communications Team to help develop and execute strategic marketing plans and communications for CLAC including all advertising, member relationship marketing, promotions, and sponsorships.
Initiate and manage all social media marketing projects.
Conduct research and data analysis to guide future marketing and communications plans.
Create campaign calendars and reporting tools that provide meaningful insight and measurable results on marketing campaigns and communications effectiveness.
Assist in identifying and executing partnership opportunities that raise public awareness of CLAC.
Assist in preparing and monitoring marketing budgets and verifying marketing invoices for payment.
Remain current in marketing, communications, and social media trends.
Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent college degree, in marketing or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of marketing experience.

 

Skills and Experience:

Excellent command of written English, including copywriting skills.
Ability to plan and execute complex multi-channel marketing campaigns
Excellent social media knowledge and skills – including how to run campaigns on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.
Thorough familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and SharePoint.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite programs (particularly InDesign and Photoshop).

 

Other Skills and Experience

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment (must be a team player).
Experience in creating and executing a marketing campaign.
Project-management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to handle multiple, detailed projects simultaneously.
Ability to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
Experience finding, negotiating, and managing media buys.
Ability to travel.
