We are looking for a qualified individual to support the International recruitment initiatives through content creation, digital campaign management, digital engagement activities, and the coordination of marketing and recruitment assets for the department. The incumbent supports international digital recruitment initiatives and regionally specific projects.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Creates an online marketing plan that promotes Conestoga College to the international audience using a variety of channels, including searches, social media, videos, emails, and webinars
  • Coordinates digital channels/campaigns based on International Office’s marketing plans
  • Creates a digital recruitment plan that reaches out to emergent markets through webinars, paid promotions and organic posts specifically where recruiter physical presence is limited, to support the diversification of the international student body
  • Works closely with supervisor on creative recruitment planning, marketing projects, and annual communication plans
  • Updates website as required and recommends improvements
  • Creates a blog, news page, and other online opportunities on the Conestoga College website that will improve SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and drive more traffic to the site
  • Supports digital recruitment activities (i.e. webinars, online training tools, etc.) working with the recruitment team to prepare materials and conduct post event follow up through email campaigns
  • Builds brand awareness and manages Conestoga’s reputation in key markets; uses digital channels to bring Conestoga’s brand to the forefront and communicate with students
  • Designs and develops digital and corresponding print marketing materials including brochures, banners, educational materials, and communication materials for the International Recruitment team and the International Office (services and admissions)
  • Ongoing copywriting, editing, and producing content for digital marketing and recruitment campaigns for key international markets (including coordinating translation)
  • Supports Conestoga’s International Regional Recruitment Managers to translate and localize promotional materials and ships promotional materials to international fairs and locations
  • Organizes and manages marketing assets, ensuring timely, responsive communication between the recruitment team and their markets
  • Builds and executes social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, messaging, and audience identification
  • Facilitates work of the International Students Social Media team and student’s placements to create ‘peer to peer’ content reaching out to current students, international alumni, Faculty, Support Staff and partners to generate content for international recruitment and students’ support
  • Manages content planning and calendar; sources and creates content based on content planning and calendars for social channels; generates, edits, publishes, and shares daily content (original text, images, or video) that builds meaningful connections and share useful information with our international student community
  • Monitors engagements, insights, and performance and provides reports and subsequent data driven recommendations
  • Facilitates hiring of new international students through Jobs on Campus and makes sure they receive the needed training to join the team and understand the strategic marketing plan
  • Under the guidance of the supervisor, tracks, and responds to positive and negative online feedback; collects and summarizes feedback for the constructive reputation management of Conestoga’s international programs and services
  • Provides customer service, supporting the team to answer inquires ensuring fast, efficient response times and exceptional communication with potential international students
  • Supports/liaises with marketing and recruitment related supplier for media production, photography, giveaways, printing, and shipping recruitment/marketing materials
  • Tracks budgets and inventory relating to digital recruitment and traditional channels
  • Liaises with internal and external international stakeholders to ensure marketing and information materials are updated and appropriate
  • Liaises with regional stakeholders and supports the coordination of joint marketing and recruitment materials
  • Supports the recruitment team for on-site local events, on campus recruitment events, partnership visits, orientations, and other assigned event initiatives
  • Helps prepare and organize documents required by agents, students, and other partners when needed
  • Prepares surveys, collects data and completes reports for the recruitment team as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Three year diploma/degree in Digital Marketing and Design, Design and Advertising, or Marketing required
  • Three years of current, relevant experience in digital marketing
  • Fluency in a second language is considered an asset; preferably: Spanish, Portuguese, Korean or Mandarin
  • Ability to communicate with, and write copy for individuals for whom English is not their first language
  • Understanding of international marketing and cultural competency
  • Clear understanding of international prospective student audiences, coupled with knowledge of student recruitment marketing
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) is required
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications and various database tools
  • Excellent customer service and student support
  • Proficiency with CRM system management including reports
