Full-Time Position

As Canada’s largest agency serving at-risk, homeless and trafficked youth, Covenant House Toronto changes lives by providing the widest range of services and support to as many as 300 youth a day.  As a national leader and the country’s largest privately funded youth care agency, we raise more than 80 percent of our $30.6 million annual operating budget from donations. Covenant House is part of an international network of 21 sites spanning from Alaska to Latin America.  The Toronto site has served more than 95,000 youth since opening our doors.

Covenant House is seeking a self-directed individual with strong people management, communication and process management skills to supervise our Donor Care Team of 6 Full-time staff and up to 10 additional seasonal staff.  This position will be responsible for delivering an exceptional and consistent donor experience by developing and managing staff, improving processes and systems and adhering to organizational policies and practices.

 

Your work will include daily workflow management and occasional documentation, oversight for gift processing, receipting, donor acknowledgement and timely and accurate responses to donor requests; ensuring data accuracy, and balancing donations on a monthly basis.  You will work closely with the communications, finance and database teams to troubleshoot technical and donor related issues and ensure monthly financial accuracy between our database and our financial systems.

 

The qualified candidate will have a minimum of a college diploma in a related field and or 5 years’ experience in a customer care environment with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. 

 

This individual must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, an aptitude for working with numbers, experience training staff and creating training documentation, and experience with Microsoft Office at an intermediate level, specifically, Outlook, Word including mail merges and Excel.

 

Experience with the Raiser’s Edge is an asset
