Overview:
Our client in Toronto is searching for an insightful, seasoned, and success-driven Co-Senior Director of Corporate Communications to propel the communications department to new heights. Working alongside the Senior Director of Communications as co-head of the communications team, you will provide vital strategic input to ensure our client's future success.
The position of Co-Senior Director of Corporate Communications will receive a base salary commensurate with experience, highly competitive benefits that are effective from start date, and an incentive bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
Summary:
Key responsibilities of the Co-Senior Director of Corporate Communications will include:
- Managing the entire planning process including: designing, developing, and directing corporate communications strategies; creating content; implementing production; and measuring outcomes
- Ensuring consistency within branding, messaging, and tone throughout all stages of communications content
- Efficiency and aptitude while handling complex materials with skill, tact, and diplomacy
- Representing the company at conferences and events with the possibility of travelling globally as required
- Assessing and providing solutions to the leadership team regarding ongoing issues on the external landscape
About You:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, media, communications, or journalism
- 7+ years of general progressive experience in marketing, branding, communications, and media
- Attention to detail, efficiency, and organizational skills will be paramount to the position
- Ability to work as part of a partnership; ensuring consistent quality while working collaboratively and individually while maintaining company standards and organizational policies
- Success-driven and self-starting with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines
- Must be available to travel outside of Canada 10-20% of the time, for 1-2 weeks in duration
- Expertise in the energy industry is an asset
- Communications experience in the political area is beneficial
