DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR

Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation (TGWHF) raises funds for research, education and the enhancement of patient care at Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital, their respective research arms (the Krembil Research Institute and Toronto General Hospital Research Institute) and The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. About the role

TGWHF is currently seeking a Digital Content Creator to help develop and increase donor engagement on digital channels. With a focus on online storytelling, this new role will develop digital content and assets to directly support our fundraising efforts. Working closely with the Community Giving and Marketing & Communications teams, this role is important to the growth of the Foundation’s digital strategy and will support building our voice in the online space.

The Digital Content Creator reports to Director, Marketing & Communications.

Duties and responsibilities

In alignment with Marketing & Communications and Community Giving strategies, create original multimedia content, including video, animations, infographics and other assets, to be viewed across various channels and devices. Channels include social media, email, digital advertising, and the Foundation website.

Interact with the fundraising campaigns and programs to identify, gather and research ideas and translate into engaging content; responsible for managing content creation from outset to completion, including creative briefs, writing, shooting, editing and sound mixing.

Capture original video, audio and photos; edit long‐orm content into audience‐and channel‐ppropriate content and select from existing excerpts, videos, photos and other items, editing as appropriate, to help engage our online community.

 -Support content creation for our enewsletter as required.

 -Maintain asset archive to ensure content is accessible to team members across the organization.

 -Collaborate with fundraising and marketing teams (in‐ouse and external suppliers) for special projects as required.

 

Requirements

 -Post‐econdary degree or diploma in journalism, communications, digital marketing, social media or relevant experience; non‐rofit experience an asset but not required.

 -1‐ years of experience in a digital marketing or content production role.

 -Excellent proven written and verbal communications and storytelling skills, specifically for digital channels.

 -Experience in video production and graphic design (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), including editing and sound mixing.

- Familiarity with script writing and storyboarding.

 -Self‐tarter with strong organizational and admin skills.

 -Ability to thrive in a fast‐aced, deadline‐riven environment while managing multiple projects and priorities.

 -Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Work environment

- Busy service‐and results‐riented environment.

 -Regular daily hours of work at either Toronto Western Hospital or Toronto General Hospital; includes an open‐oncept shared workspace.

 -Collaborative environment with a shared goal of achieving fundraising success.
