Manager, Marketing Media

Job Summary:
The Manager, Marketing Media leads the enterprise media strategy and plans for marketing campaigns for BCLC products and initiatives.   This role works closely with Planning and Account Management, and Creative teams to deliver effective campaigns that are on-brand and deliver the desired messages.  The role manages relationships with media to negotiate competitive deals.


Key Accountabilities:
•    Leads the development of enterprise media strategies and works closely with the Media Agency of Record to plan for BCLC marketing campaigns.  Works closely with Planning and Account Management, and Advertising teams to deliver on campaign briefs.
•    Oversees traditional and digital media campaign performance, ensuring campaigns are tailored to deliver the message to the right audience and the right time, refining or adjusting where necessary.  
•    Establishes KPI's and reports out to the broader marketing team.  Optimizes campaigns according to target market, geographic exposure, frequency etc. 
•    Develops and manages traditional media budget, working closely with Planning and Account Management to ensure accurate costing and forecasting for the overall budgeting of marketing initiatives. Develops and manages operational budget.
•    Prepares RFP’s as required.
•    Maintains awareness of most up to date media trends and identifies opportunities for new media strategies.
•    Proactively oversees the resolution of all issues within entire area of management and implements action plans ensuring the integrity and quality of outcomes.
•    Drafts Standards, Policies, Practices and Procedures, ensuring compliance and accountability for team under management.
•    Collaborates and fosters strong, productive, and positive relationships with key internal stakeholders, as well as external stakeholders such as Media Agencies.
•    Provides strong people leadership to the department by championing BCLC's vision, mission and Values In Action; practicing meaningful recognition; communicating with staff regularly; developing, coaching and mentoring team; conducting performance management, and supporting culture and change management initiatives. 

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline;
•    5 to 7 years of related experience, including recent experience in planning and buying traditional media;
•    At least 2 years’ experience in managing people; 
•    An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.


Technical Requirements
•    Strong knowledge of the principles, concepts, practices, techniques and tools in the areas of advertising and marketing, including media planning and buying; 
•    Demonstrated experience in strategic business planning and resource management in a leadership capacity;
•    Demonstrated experience developing and managing change with teams ensuring that sound change management and training principles are applied;
•    Ability to work cross-functionally and build support within the marketing team and among other stakeholders across BCLC in order to deliver on business needs;
•    Strong business acumen with a results oriented focus;
•    Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills;
•    Demonstrated ability to analyze business situations and develop solutions;
•    Excellent interpersonal skills;
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
•    Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation;
•    Strong computer skills – MS office suite;
•    Experience in the gaming industry is an asset.
