Job Description

Communications & Professional Development Officer (CPDO)

Bilingual Position

 

The person in this position is responsible for leading professional communication and coordinating professional development activities on behalf of the Association. Duties will include

  • Management of all website content and surveys
  • Development and implementation of social media strategy and content
  • Production of monthly e-newsletter
  • Coordination of annual conference workshops, plenary speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and awards
  • Coordination of professional development sessions for CFDC staff, based on consultation with the 4 Ontario CFDC networks
  • Administration of Community Futures Leadership Institute staff and board training program certifications
  • Administration of CUSource, OMEGA and other online learning registrations
  • Supporting Public Relations, Professional Development and Official Languages Committees

 

Qualifications/Skill Requirements:

  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English and French required
  • Post-secondary education in a related program, e.g. Communications and Public Affairs, Adult Learning
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and relationship management
  • Experience in providing services to a membership organization in the not-for-profit sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Pro and/or Webex
  • Proactive, organized, self-motivated, accountable
  • Ability to work as a team player with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel, use of own vehicle, valid driver’s license
