We are currently recruiting for a Director, Strategic Communications, Marketing and Outreach to work with the Office of the Dean in the Faculty of Education for this exciting opportunity.
Are you a Marketing professional with experience managing staff in a complex institutional environment? Do you possess at least 7 years’ of experience in communications, marketing and public relations? Do you possess superior communication and presentation as well as writing and editing skills? Do you possess the ability to quickly familiarize and work with various software tools such as student information systems (SIS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and enrolment management systems. In this role, you will provide leadership, direction and oversight of the development of comprehensive and highly integrated strategic communication and marketing plans that advance the vision, mission, reputational position and advancement goals of the Faculty.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered. In addition, the successful incumbent will possess a minimum of 7 years’ related strategic and operational experience in communications, marketing and public relations, along with progressive leadership and management experience in a comparable environment. Demonstrated experience in strategic communications and marketing planning and implementation, with performance metrics. Demonstrated success in profile building, reputation and brand management, and the creation of innovative, successful, communications and brand strategies. Experience developing and implementing acquisition, conversion and retention initiatives. Direct experience in producing a variety of communication vehicles aimed at various internal and external audiences. Experience in media relations. Demonstrated experience with social media, mobile applications, web-based communications, research and analytical tools. Financial and resource management experience. Experience managing staff in a unionized environment preferred.
