St. Lawrence College is seeking a dynamic and creative leader to join its team as the new Director of Marketing, Communications & Recruitment.

Based in Kingston, Ontario, with tri-campus responsibility, this newly-created role reports to the Senior Vice President and will have a unique opportunity to develop and lead a team in the planning, creation, execution and evaluation of a broad spectrum of marketing, corporate communications and student recruitment strategies and initiatives. In addition to developing related institution-wide policies and processes, the Director will ensure the seamless planning and execution of comprehensive marketing and sales strategies and tactics, including the collection and dissemination of crucial market research information, benchmarks and analytics, in order to advance full-time academic enrolment and markets for more than 100 programs across three campuses – and by integrating a multi-platform and multi-channel approach to prospect identification, development and conversion. Additionally, the Director will provide leadership and support to enhance the College’s strong visibility and brand – through the provision of effective corporate communications, public affairs and reputation management.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant post-secondary degree, along with progressive leadership and management experience from either the public or private sectors – encompassing both strategic as well as operational responsibility for a combination of marketing, sales, corporate communications, and integrated reputation and brand management functions. Experience working within a complex, unionized environment would be ideal. The incumbent will balance a “big picture”, strategic orientation with the ability to execute day-to-day tactical and operational requirements and deliverables – within a creative, innovative, collegial, collaborative yet decisive, results-oriented and accountable environment. The candidate will have possess excellent team leadership and management skills – along with a proven track record of translating market intelligence and data into strategies, business plans, outcomes and results. Excellent communication, interpersonal, project- and change-management skills, along with social media literacy and fluency are essential. The knowledge of industry best practices and principles, copywriting, and other important and relevant standards and applications is important.

The salary range for this role is $107,288 - $143,050 (Salary band 14). The compensation package includes a performance-based incentive program, a comprehensive benefit package. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
